Rule 6. Judge Pro Tem
In the event of the mandatory disqualification, voluntary disqualification or failure to act of a member of the Court, a judge pro tem to sit in his place shall be named by the authority appointing him.
If he is a district judge, the Secretary of State shall determine the next district judge senior in service, but under sixty (60) years of age, who does not reside in the same supreme court judicial district as any other district judge serving on the Court and shall certify said judge as a judge pro tem said member of the Court. In the event of two (2) district judges of equal seniority, the eldest in years shall be certified.
If the disqualified member of the Court is a member of the Court chosen by the Executive Council of the Oklahoma Bar Association, said Executive Council or other body exercising similar powers of the Oklahoma Bar Association shall select a judge pro tem to sit in the place of the disqualified judge and the president of the Bar Association shall certify to the Secretary of State the name of said judge pro tem chosen by the Oklahoma Bar Association.
