Rules of the Twenty-Third Judicial District [Pottawatomie and Lincoln Counties]

OK 23 District Court Rule 3
Rule 3. Presiding Judge
The Presiding Judge for Pottawatomie County shall be the District Judge sitting in Pottawatomie County. The Presiding Judge for Lincoln County shall be the District Judge sitting in Lincoln County.
The duties of the Presiding Judge are as follows;
1. Presides over the governing board of the Court Fund.
2. Authorizes publication of court dockets.
3. Supervises district courts.
4. Makes the assignment of judges to the various divisions and duties within the District Court, including docket assignments for District, Associate and Special Judges.
5. Approves assignment of court reporters within the administrative district.
6. Establishes jury terms and orders appearance of jurors.
7. Conducts the private process server docket.
8. Authorizes use of courtrooms by public groups.
9. Hears protests regarding the issuance of beverage licenses.
10. Any other matter directed to the Presiding Administrative Judge by statute or rule.
