§ 1550.38. Emergency
The Legislature of the State of Oklahoma finds the theft, abuse and misuse of credit cards has damaged the economic security of the people of the state and such activity must be controlled immediately to prevent further harm and that the immediate passage of this act1 is necessary to establish uniform and effective methods for protection against the danger so as to discourage practices contrary to this act. Therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this act being immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
