Rule 4.6. Protective Order Cases
Most litigants in protective order cases are not lawyers. When the court clerk gives a protective order litigant a date for a hearing, the litigant expects that the case will be heard on the date scheduled. A hearing date will not normally be postponed except for good cause shown, or by agreement of all parties.
As a general rule, a request for continuance of a protective order case will not be granted, unless all parties agree in writing to the request.
