Rule 1.3. Court Appearances and Punctuality
At times it is unavoidable to be late for a setting or docket. However, to be consistently late demonstrates a lack of courtesy, not only to the Court but to the other parties, witnesses and attorneys. An attorney who finds it impossible to be on time should immediately inform the Court, giving the reason for the delay, and expected arrival time.
An attorney who is consistently late or absent may be assessed attorney fees and expenses for travel and other costs to those affected, in addition to other sanctions which may be appropriate. Opposing counsel may apply to the Court for sanctions under this section.
