Rule 24(a). Court Fund Claims on Court Appointed Interpreters
Court appointed interpreters shall be paid at a rate as ordered by the Supreme Court of the State of Oklahoma.
Any appointed interpreter shall file a claim with the Court Clerk of the county the interpreter provided court services and pursuant to court order determining and appointing said person as a qualified court interpreter. It shall be the duty of the presiding Judge who ordered the appointment to determine the time and amount allowed the interpreter and pursuant to this rule. Claims must be submitted in a timely manner. Any claim not submitted within 90 days of the performance of the services may be deemed void, and will not be paid.
Certified or Registered interpreters should be utilized when available. All proceedings in which a non-certified interpreter is utilized shall be recorded by H2N Zoom or other available recording devices or a record should be made by a court reporter.
