Rule 23. Criminal: Applications for Habeas Corpus or Search Warrants, Appointment of Counsel, Revocations, Accelerations and Motions to Reduce Bail
A. Applications for Habeas Corpus or Search Warrants. Applications for Writs of Habeas Corpus or Search Warrants and recall may be presented to any of the following who are available: First, to a District Judge or Special Judge assigned to the Criminal Division; next, to any other Judge.
B. Appointment of Counsel. Counsel for indigent defendants may be appointed by any Judge upon written application being submitted by the defendant.
C. Matters Heard by the Assigned Judge. In felony cases applications to revoke suspended sentences or to accelerate deferred sentences and motions including motions to reduce bail, shall be heard by the assigned Judge.
