Rule 8. OCIS Steering Committee
A Steering Committee shall be formed by January 24, 2001 in order to provide a forum for users to voice feedback, suggestions, and recommendations concerning the OCIS system. This committee shall be a permanent committee, and shall initially meet on January 24, 2001. The continuing meeting schedule of the Steering Committee shall be set by the Steering Committee itself.
The Steering Committee shall be an advisory body to the Supreme Court of Oklahoma, through the Chief Justice, on matters concerning the Oklahoma Court Information System. The Steering Committee shall provide recommendations to the Chief Justice in written form.
The Steering Committee shall be made up of eleven members who shall serve a one year term on the committee. The membership of the Steering Committee shall be selected as follows:
1. Five (5) court clerks, four of whom must represent counties currently served by the Oklahoma Court Information System, to be selected by the Executive Board of the Court Clerk's Association,
2. Two (2) district judges, to be selected by the Presiding Judges,
3. One (1) appellate judge, to be selected by the Chief Justice (other than a member of the Supreme Court),
4. The State Auditor and Inspector or his or her designee,
5. The Director of the Management Information Services Department of the Supreme Court,
6. The Director of Support Services of the Management Information Services Department of the Supreme Court.
From time to time, as need arises, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court may appoint additional temporary members to the committee.
The Steering Committee shall elect a chairperson and a secretary from its membership. The secretary will keep minutes of the meetings of the Steering Committee. A recording device may be used to record the meetings of the Steering Committee for this purpose.
