Rule 7. Assignment of Cases
Assignment of civil cases, felony cases and domestic cases shall be made by random computer function except for those cases required by statute or court rule to be assigned to specific judges or court divisions.
Subject to the provisions of the foregoing paragraph the District Judge shall have primary docket and case assignment responsibility and control.
Any case assigned to a particular judge and thereafter dismissed without prejudice, if refiled, shall be assigned to the same judge before whom it was pending when it was dismissed.
