§ 356. Contract or purchase void--Members of body liable
Currentness
Any contract or purchase made in violation of the first preceding section1 shall be void, and no appropriation of public funds shall be made to pay the amount of same; but the members of the body voting for such contract or purchase shall be held personally liable for the amount thereof.
