Rule 8. Court Files
No case file, instrument, record, docket, journal, or any part thereof shall be removed from the office and custody of the Court Clerk except under the rules and conditions of said Court Clerk. A receipt specifying the record taken shall be given by the party taking it, and the file shall not be retained for longer than forty-eight (48) hours, (excluding weekends/holidays), except upon Order of a Judge granted for good cause shown. The receipt of the taking party shall reflect case number, date & hour of taking & sufficient information of the taking party in the event contact need be made for return of the file. Any person checking out such records shall be prepared to immediately return the same should need arise in court or by a Judge. No original minute sheet not affixed as part of the case file shall leave the premises of the Court Clerk's Office without the express written permission of the Court Clerk. No original Last Will and Testament filed with the Court Clerk shall leave the custodial possession of the Court Clerk without written order of the Court.
