NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Susquehanna River Basin Commission
SUMMARY: The Susquehanna River Basin Commission will hold a public hearing on November 15, 2012, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. At this public hearing, the Commission will hear testimony on the projects listed in the Supplementary Information section of this notice. Such projects are intended to be scheduled for Commission action at its next business meeting, tentatively scheduled for December 14, 2012, which will be noticed separately. The public should take note that this public hearing will be the only opportunity to offer oral comment to the Commission for the listed projects. The deadline for the submission of written comments is November 26, 2012.
DATES: The public hearing will convene on November 15, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. The public hearing will end at 5:00 p.m. or at the conclusion of public testimony, whichever is sooner. The deadline for the submission of written comments is November 26, 2012.

In F-2012-0609, David and Catherine Cuthell, are proposing the construction of a replacement bulkhead wall at 145 River Road, on the Hudson River in the Town of Esopus, Ulster County, New York. Specifically, the proposed project includes the excavation of approximately 90 cubic yards of material from the riverbed and construction of a gravity-style precast concrete block retaining wall approximately 10 feet waterward of the existing steel drum bulkhead and the placement of approximately 230 cubic yards of backfill. In addition to seeking authorization for the proposed construction, the riverbed and underwater lands where the excavation and proposed wall would be construction are State-owned underwater lands and the applicant is seeking to lease these lands from the State of New York.

Limited drainage, erosion, and sediment control measures are proposed during construction and for long-term use of the park. The proposed park is intended to connect to Riverfront Green South Park which lies immediately south of Peekskill Landing.
