2024 CES Administrative Budget
PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following action:
Action taken:
On 12/14/23, the PSC adopted an order approving the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority's (NYSERDA) 2024 Clean Energy Standard (CES) Administrative Budget.
Statutory authority:
Public Service Law, sections 4(1), 5(1), (2), 66(2), 66-p and 6-104(5)(b)
Subject:
2024 CES Administrative Budget.
Purpose:
To approve NYSERDA's 2024 CES Administrative Budget.
Substance of final rule:
The Commission, on December 14, 2023, adopted an order approving the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority's (NYSERDA) 2024 Clean Energy Standard (CES) Administrative Budget. NYSERDA is authorized to use previously collected revenues including bid fees, forfeited contract security funds, Alternative Compliance Payments received, and interest income to fund the 2024 CES compliance period for the Renewable Energy Standard (RES), and is authorized to fund the 2024 CES compliance period of the Zero-Emission Credit (ZEC) program through the ZEC Adder. NYSERDA shall continue to file Quarterly reports containing itemized expenses associated with the administration of the RES and ZEC programs, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the order.
