EXECUTIVE ORDERS
 
Continuing the Declaration of Disaster Emergency in the Counties of Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, and Sullivan.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Executive Order 182, a disaster has heretofore been declared within the counties of Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, and Sullivan, and contiguous areas due to severe thunderstorms occurring on May 15, 2018, which created hazardous conditions impacting New York State and posed an imminent danger to vital transportation, utility service and public health and safety;
WHEREAS, this storm produced significant rain, damaging winds exceeding 58 miles per hour and hail greater than one-inch in diameter causing widespread power outages that impacted over 200,000 customers, travel disruptions, road closures, railroad suspensions, damage to public and private property and posed a threat to public health and safety;
WHEREAS, hazardous conditions caused from this storm continue to pose an imminent threat to public health and public safety within the counties of Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, and Sullivan, and contiguous areas.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, ANDREW M. CUOMO, Governor of the State of New York, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the Laws of the State of New York, do hereby extend the state disaster emergency declared pursuant to Executive Order No. 182 and all of its terms, conditions, and directives from the date that such disaster emergency was declared pursuant to Executive Order No. 182 until May 28, 2018.
