Postponement of Levelization Surcharge Mechanism
PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following action:
Action taken:
On 5/22/19, the PSC adopted an order adopting the emergency rule on a permanent basis, authorizing New York American Water Company, Inc. (NYAW) to postpone the levelization surcharge mechanism from April 1, 2019 to April 1, 2020.
Statutory authority:
Public Service Law, sections 89-b and 89-c(10)
Subject:
Postponement of levelization surcharge mechanism.
Purpose:
To adopt the emergency rule on a permanent basis.
Substance of final rule:
The Commission, on May 22, 2019, adopted an order adopting the emergency rule on a permanent basis, authorizing New York American Water Company, Inc. (NYAW) to postpone the levelization surcharge mechanism, scheduled to become effective for Service Area 1 customers on April 1, 2019 to April 1, 2020, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the order.

No changes.
