LIPA's Delivery Service Adjustment Cost Recovery Rider
PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
Proposed Action:
The Long Island Power Authority proposes to modify its Tariff for Electric Service to introduce a cost recovery solution to ensure recovery of actual transmission and distribution (T&D) property tax expenses.
Statutory authority:
Public Authorities Law, section 1020-f(u) and (z)
Subject:
LIPA's delivery service adjustment cost recovery rider.
Purpose:
To ensure recovery of T&D property tax expenses consistent with the LIPA Reform Act, at the lowest cost to LIPA customers.
Public hearing(s) will be held at:
10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., June 27, 2022 at Virtual Public Meeting.
Interpreter Service:
Interpreter services will be made available to hearing impaired persons, at no charge, upon written request submitted within reasonable time prior to the scheduled public hearing. The written request must be addressed to the agency representative designated in the paragraph below.
Accessibility:
All public hearings have been scheduled at places reasonably accessible to persons with a mobility impairment.
Substance of proposed rule:
The Long Island Power Authority (“LIPA”) proposes to modify the Tariff for Electric Service, effective August 1, 2022 to introduce a cost recovery solution to ensure recovery of actual transmission and distribution (T&D) property tax expenses.
