Initial Tariff Schedule
PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
Proposed Action:
The Commission is considering a proposal filed by Hudson Valley Research Park Water-Works Corp. for its Initial Tariff Schedule, P.S.C. No. 1—Water, to become effective May 4, 2022.
Statutory authority:
Public Service Law, section 89-e(2)
Subject:
Initial Tariff Schedule.
Purpose:
To ensure safe and adequate service at just and reasonable rates charged to customers without undue preferences.
Substance of proposed rule:
The Commission is considering a proposal filed by Hudson Valley Research Park Water-Works Corp. (HVRP or the Company), for approval of its Initial Tariff Schedule, P.S.C. No. 1 – Water, which sets forth the rates, charges, rules, and regulations under which the Company would operate. The tariff is set to become effective on May 4, 2022.
HVRP serves five parcels within the Hudson Valley Research Park, located in the Town of East Fishkill, Dutchess County, New York. HVRP through the petition proposes a metered rate of $6.62 per thousand gallons with monthly billing in arrears. The tariff defines when a bill would be considered delinquent and establishes a late payment charge of 1½ percent per month, compounded monthly, and a returned check charge equal to the bank charge plus a handling fee of $5. The Company is proposing restoration of service charges of $50 during normal business hours Monday through Friday; $75 outside of normal business hours Monday through Friday; and $100 on weekends or public holidays.
The full text of the proposal and the full record of the proceeding may be reviewed online at the Department of Public Service web page: www.dps.ny.gov. The Commission may adopt, reject or modify, in whole or in part, the action proposed and may resolve related matters.
