Emerging Contaminants Project Planning Grants
The New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation (EFC) is pleased to announce the availability of up to $1 million in grant funding to municipalities to help pay for the planning and development of eligible drinking water infrastructure projects that protect public health by removing or otherwise addressing emerging contaminants such as perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) and 1,4-dioxane (an “Emerging Contaminants Project”). Grants of up to $50,000 will be provided to fund engineering reports for Emerging Contaminants Projects.
If less than $1 million is awarded pursuant to this notice, additional funding may be made available pursuant to a subsequent notice.
