Water Rates and Charges
PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
Proposed Action:
The Public Service Commission is considering a tariff filing by 473 West End Realty Corp., requesting approval to increase its annual revenues by approximately $33,254 or 138% in P.S.C. No. 1 — Water, to become effective January 1, 2014.
Statutory authority:
Public Service Law, sections 4(1), 5(1)(f), 89-c(1) and (10)
Subject:
Water rates and charges.
Purpose:
To approve an increase in annual revenues by approximately $33,254 or 138%.
Substance of proposed rule:
The Commission is considering whether to approve, modify or reject, in whole or in part, a tariff filing by 473 West End Realty Corp. (Company), requesting approval to increase its annual revenues by approximately $33,254 or 138% to P.S.C. No. 1 — Water. The Company is also requesting approval to increase its restoration of service charges during normal business hours from $50 to $125; outside of normal business hours from $75 to $175; and on weekends or public holidays from $100 to $225. The Company is also requesting approval to shut off water to a customer’s property after 48 hours if a leak continues and is considered excess by the Company, and that the cost of such action shall be billed to the customer on a time and material basis. The proposed filing has an effective date of January 1, 2014. The Commission may resolve related matters and may take this action for other utilities.
