Proposed Solutions to Meet the PPTN
PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following action:
Action taken:
On 10/13/16, the PSC adopted an order directing the New York State Independent Operator, Inc. (NYISO) to evaluate proposed solutions to meet the Public Policy Transmission Need (PPTN) for Western New York.
Statutory authority:
Public Service Law, sections 4(1), 5(1)(b), (2), 65(1), 66(1), (2) and (5)
Subject:
Proposed solutions to meet the PPTN.
Purpose:
To direct NYISO to evaluate proposed solutions to meet the PPTN.
Substance of final rule:
The Commission, on October 13, 2016, adopted an order directing the New York State Independent Operator, Inc. to evaluate proposed solutions to meet the Public Policy Transmission Need for Western New York, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the order.

No changes.
