Tariff Amendments
PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following action:
Action taken:
On 8/8/19, the PSC adopted an order approving, with modifications, Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation's (Central Hudson) tariff amendments to P.S.C No. 15 — Electricity, effective September 1, 2019.
Statutory authority:
Public Service Law, section 66(12)(b)
Subject:
Tariff amendments.
Purpose:
To approve, with modifications, Central Hudson's tariff amendments to P.S.C No. 15 — Electricity.
Substance of final rule:
The Commission, on August 8, 2019, adopted an order approving, with modifications, Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation's (Central Hudson) tariff amendments to P.S.C No. 15 – Electricity, to provide more comprehensive Light Emitting Diode (LED) options under Service Classification (SC) No. 5 – Area Lighting Service and under Rate A (Company owned and maintained) of SC No. 8 – Public Street and Highway Lighting. Central Hudson’s tariff amendments listed in the Appendix shall become effective on September 1, 2019, provided Central Hudson files further revisions as discussed in the body of the Order, on not less than five days’ notice to become effective September 1, 2019. Central Hudson’s proposal to make LED fixtures the default standard is rejected and Central Hudson is directed to file a study examining the rates and charges for all Central Hudson owned lighting fixtures that compares them to all the underlying costs incurred to replace the fixture, maintain the fixture, and deliver energy to each of these fixtures, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the order.
