Submetering Equipment
PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
Proposed Action:
The Commission is considering the petition of Honeywell to use the Honeywell Class 6200 kWh submeter for electric submetering applications in New York State.
Statutory authority:
Public Service Law, sections 65, 66 and 67
Subject:
Submetering equipment.
Purpose:
To consider use of submetering equipment and if it is in the public interest.
Substance of proposed rule:
The Commission is considering the petition of Honeywell, filed on February 12, 2021, to use the Honeywell Class 6200 kWh submeter for electric submetering applications in New York State.
Honeywell included with the petition a report from Eurofins MET Laboratories, Inc. detailing the EMC and meter accuracy tests used to demonstrate the submeter’s compliance with the requirements of ANSI C12.1-2014 Electric Meters, Code for Electric Metering, and ANSI C12.2015 for Electricity Meters – 0.1, 0.2 and 0.5 Accuracy Classes.
