PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following action:
Action taken:
Amendment of section 2.25 of Title 6 NYCRR.
Statutory authority:
Environmental Conservation Law, sections 11-0303, 11-0903 and 11-0905
Subject:
Hunting upland game birds.
Purpose:
To establish a youth pheasant hunting season on Long Island prior to the start of the regular pheasant season.

Assessment of Public Comment
The department received two comments stating support for the proposed youth pheasant hunting season in Nassau and Suffolk counties. No other public comments were received.
