PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
Proposed Action:
The Commission is considering a petition filed by Quadlogic Controls Corporation to use the Quadlogic Controls QBrick Multi-Channel Smart Revenue Grade Electric Power Meter in residential electric submetering applications.
Statutory authority:
Public Service Law, section 67(1)
Subject:
Electric metering equipment.
Purpose:
To ensure that consumer bills are based on accurate measurements of electric usage.
Substance of proposed rule:
The Public Service Commission is considering a petition filed by Quadlogic Controls Corporation on June 20, 2019, to use the QBrick multi-channel smart revenue grade electrical power meter in residential submetering applications.
The Commission’s regulations require new types of electric meters, transformers, and auxiliary devices used to measure electric service furnished to customers to be tested, and also approved by the Commission before they may be used for the purposes of customer billing.
