PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following action:
Action taken:
Amendment of Parts 10, 11, 19, 36, 37 and 40 of Title 6 NYCRR.
Statutory authority:
Environmental Conservation Law, sections 3-0301, 11-0303,11-0305, 11-0306, 11-0317, 11-0319, 11-1301, 11-1303, 11-1305, 11-1319, 11-1501, 11-1503, 11-1505 and 13-0105, 13-0339-a and 13-0371
Subject:
Regulations for commercial and recreational harvest of American eel.
Purpose:
Reduce fishing mortality of American eel in order to promote stable fish populations, and to remain in compliance with ASMFC.
