The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is issuing a Request for Applications (RFA) for the availability of funding to provide continued support for currently funded crime analyst positions assigned to the county Crime Analysis Centers in Albany, Erie, Monroe, and Onondaga Counties. Approximately $1 million will be available. The RFA is available on the DCJS website at http://www.criminaljustice.state.ny.us/ofpa/newrfp.htm. The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is issuing a Request for Applications (RFA) to solicit applications for awards for two purposes: 1) to support the continuation of local reentry task forces to enhance the community’s reentry process and promote system-wide collaboration and 2) to provide support or continued support for contracted services to reentry clients that contribute to effective risk management.

Subject to State appropriation authority, approximately $3.4 million in State local assistance funds is available for awards to support Reentry Task Force and Enhanced Services programs in Albany, Broome, Dutchess, Erie, Monroe, Nassau, Niagara, Oneida, Onondaga, Orange, Rensselaer, Rockland, Schenectady, Suffolk, Ulster, and Westchester counties. The New York City Office of the Criminal Justice Coordinator is eligible to apply for funding to support the Upper Manhattan Reentry Task Force; the Kings County District Attorney’s Office is eligible to apply for funding to support the COM Alert Reentry program. Grant award agreements will be for a period of up to 12 months, with start dates between July 1, 2011 and October 1, 2011, a June 30, 2012 contract end date, and two 1-year renewal options.

Applications received on or before 12:00 noon (EST), June 17, 2011 via DCJS’ on-line Grants Management System (GMS) will be accepted.
