Notice of Abandoned Property Received by the State Comptroller
Pursuant to provisions of the Abandoned Property Law and related laws, the Office of the State Comptroller receives unclaimed monies and other property deemed abandoned. A list of the names and last known addresses of the entitled owners of this abandoned property is maintained by the office in accordance with Section 1401 of the Abandoned Property Law. Interested parties may inquire if they appear on the Abandoned Property Listing by contacting the Office of Unclaimed Funds, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at:

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Insurance Department
The Insurance Department will hold, pursuant to Section 2305 of the Workers' Compensation Law, a public hearing in New York City to determine whether to approve a proposed workers' compensation insurance 2010 loss cost increase of 7.7 percent filed with the Insurance Department by the New York Compensation Insurance Rating Board (NYCIRB), to be effective October 1, 2010 if approved.
If approved, the loss cost will be used by workers' compensation insurance companies in setting rates. The hearing will take place on Wednesday, June 23. 2010 beginning at 11 a.m. at the following address:

The hearing is open to the public. Interested parties may testify at these hearings, or submit written comments to be included in the hearing record. Any person wishing to testify should contact the Department's Public Affairs Bureau at (212) 480-5262. Oral testimony will be allowed for up to 5 minutes.
Information about the hearing and the complete loss cost increase application is available at the Department's website, www.ins.state.ny.us. Testimony can be scheduled and written testimony submitted through the website.

Deferred Compensation Board
Pursuant to the provisions of 9 NYCRR, Section 9003.2, authorized by Section 5 of the State Finance Law, the New York State Deferred Compensation Board, beginning Wednesday, June 16, 2010 is soliciting proposals from insurance companies to provide a short term fixed income separate account guaranteed investment contract fully wrapped by the insurer and/or an intermediate term fixed income separate account guaranteed investment contract fully wrapped by the insurer. Each separate account guaranteed investment contract will be a portion of the New York State Deferred Compensation Plan's Stable Income Fund. The Stable Income Fund is offered as an investment option under the Deferred Compensation Plan for Employees of the State of New York and Other Participating Public Jurisdictions, a plan meeting the requirements of Section 457 of the Internal Revenue Code and Section 5 of the State Finance Law, including all rules and regulations issued pursuant thereto. Department of Environmental Conservation Notice of Positive Declaration, Completion of Draft Geis, Notice of Seqr Hearings and Issuance of Draft New York State Solid Waste Management Plan
Pursuant to ECL-27-1102.5, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation hereby gives notice that the public comment period for the draft New York State Solid Waste Management Plan and draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement (GEIS) has been extended from July 6, 2010 to August 16, 2010.
The proposed action is to adopt BEYOND WASTE: A SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS MANAGEMENT STRATEGY FOR NEW YORK STATE, New York State's Solid Waste Management Plan, which is required by Section 27-0101 of the Environmental Conservation Law (ECL). The GEIS evaluates and addresses potential significant impacts the draft plan may have on the environment.

Gates Fire District
The Gates Fire District is soliciting proposals from administrative service agencies relating to trust service, administration and/or funding of a Deferred Compensation Plan for the employees of the Gates Fire District. They must meet the requirements of Section 457 of the Internal Revenue Code and Section 5 of the State Finance Law, including all rules and regulations issued pursuant thereto.

Final Green Cleaning Guidelines Process
The public comments received by November 20, 2009 on the Green Cleaning Proposed Guidelines and Specifications on the Procurement and Use of Environmentally Sensitive Cleaning and Maintenance Products for all Elementary and Secondary Schools in New York State have been reviewed. We would like to thank each and every one of you who took the time to provide public comments.
Based on our review of all comments, we developed groupings of similar comments, which we called categories. We then created a heading or title for each category, provided our response to that category, and attached all associated or related comments. Below you will find a Table of Contents that lists all 8 categories. Please find the category you wish to view and click on it. You will be linked to that specific category, which will be followed by the response, then by all the related comments.
Feedback from these comments was helpful in amending the final Guidelines for Green Cleaning document below where appropriate.
