Notice of Abandoned Property Received by the State Comptroller
Pursuant to provisions of the Abandoned Property Law and related laws, the Office of the State Comptroller receives unclaimed monies and other property deemed abandoned. A list of the names and last known addresses of the entitled owners of this abandoned property is maintained by the office in accordance with Section 1401 of the Abandoned Property Law. "Pursuant to Executive Order No. 25, The Office of General Services invites comments from regulated entities and interested parties to identify existing regulations that impose unnecessary, burdensome or excessive costs, paperwork, reporting or other requirements.
Comments are sought that describe and quantify the burden and suggest appropriate remedies that the agency may undertake to eliminate or amend regulations that are unnecessary, unbalanced, unwise, duplicative or unduly burdensome.

Division of Criminal Justice Services PROMULGATION
I, David A. Paterson, Governor of the State of New York, do hereby adopt and promulgate the following regulation which has been recommended by the Municipal Police Training Council pursuant to the provisions of section eight hundred forty of the Executive Law. This action is taken pursuant to the authority vested in me by section eight hundred forty-two of such law and, as such, it is exempted from the rule making provisions of the State Administrative Procedure Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it known that amendments to §§ 6022.1 and 6022.6 of Title 9 of the New York State Official Compilation of Codes, Rules and Regulations are hereby adopted and promulgated and shall become effective upon publication in the State Register.
1. A new subdivision (f) is added to section 6022.1 Title 9 NYCRR to read as follows:
(f) The term peace officer shall have the same meaning as set forth in section 2.10 of the Criminal Procedure Law.
2. Section 6022.6 of Title 9 NYCRR is amended to read as follows:
§ 6022.6 Requirements for issuance of a certificate of completion/certificate of attendance.
(a) Attendance shall be required of each [police officer] candidate at all sessions of the in-service training course except for valid reasons. The director is authorized to determine the validity of and excuse absences of not more than 10 percent of the total hours of instruction as provided for in the curriculum of the course. An absentee from any scheduled class session shall make up such absence as required by the director.
(b) If the taking of examination(s) is required prior to the issuance of certificate(s), candidates must receive a passing score. If a series of examinations is required, candidates must achieve a total passing average for the series. The director shall assemble examination material, give and supervise the examination(s), and grade the examination(s). The director or sponsoring agency shall retain the examination papers as required by the appropriate schedule of records retention and disposition promulgated by the Commissioner of Education. Such records shall be available for inspection by members of the council or the commissioner.
(c) If minimum standards for an in-service course have been established by the council, upon certification by a director stating that a [police officer] candidate has satisfactorily completed all course requirements and any pre-requisite training as determined by the council, the commissioner may issue a certificate of completion.
(d) If minimum standards for an in-service training course have not been established by the council, upon certification by a director that a [police officer] candidate has satisfactorily completed all course requirements any pre-requisite training as determined by the commissioner, the commissioner may issue a certificate of attendance.
(e) If the candidate is a police or peace officer, the candidate must be employed as such at the time of certification and have successfully completed a basic training program approved by the commissioner.
(f) If the candidate is not a police or peace officer, the candidate must be sponsored by his or her employing police or peace officer agency.

The Monroe County Deferred Compensation Plan Committee is soliciting proposals from firms to provide professional auditing services for our Deferred Compensation 457 Plan.
