Madison County
Madison County has issued a Draft Request For Proposals (RFP) dated January 7, 2009 to request comments from companies that are interested in developing a facility in the County's Agriculture and Renewable Energy (ARE) Park that could utilize up to 438,000 therms per year of excess heat generated by a landfill gas to energy facility located in the Town of Lincoln at the county's landfill site on Buyea Road. Interested companies should request a copy of the Draft RFP from Kipp Hicks, Director, Madison County IDA, 3215 Seneca Turnpike, Canastota, New York 13032 (Phone: 315-697-9817; FAX: 315-697-8169; e-mail: [email protected]). A pre-proposal conference and site visit will be conducted at 10:00 AM on two different dates: February 24, 2009 and February 26, 2009 (pick one to attend and call the contact person listed below for more details). Comments on this Draft RFP must be submitted in writing by 3:00 PM on March 9, 2009, to the contact person listed below. A Final RFP is expected to be issued on April 3, 2009. Written proposals submitted in response to that Final RFP are expected to be required from interested companies by May 15, 2009. These dates may be changed in the Final RFP. The New York Power Authority is soliciting proposals from qualified administrative service agencies and/or financial organizations relating to trust service and/or administration of a deferred compensation plan for employees of the New York Power Authority meeting the requirements of Section 457 of the Internal Revenue Code and Section 5 of the State Finance Law, including all rules and regulations issued pursuant thereto.

Department of State F-2008-0906 Date of Issuance - February 11, 2009
The New York State Department of State (DOS) is required by Federal regulations to provide timely public notice for the activities described below, which are subject to the consistency provisions of the Federal Coastal Zone Management Act of 1972, as amended.
The applicant has certified that the proposed activity complies with and will be conducted in a manner consistent with the approved New York State Coastal Management Program. The applicant's consistency certification and accompanying public information and data are available for inspection at the New York State Department of State offices located at One Commerce Plaza, 99 Washington Avenue in Albany, New York.
In F-2008-0906, the Port Authority of NY & NJ is seeking approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to amend the Airport Layout Plan for the John F. Kennedy International Airport Facility, adjacent to Jamaica Bay, at Jamaica, Borough of Queens, Queens County. The proposed amendment involves the rehabilitation of Taxiway 'Y' from Taxiway 'J' to Taxiway 'E' and portions of intersection Taxiways 'F', 'G', 'H', and 'FB'. Rehabilitation of the Taxiways will include milling and overlay of Taxiway 'Y' for approximately 8,000 feet, removal and replacement of the taxiway centerline lighting fixtures, base cans, transformers and wiring, adjustment of all electrical manholes and other electrical devices in the work area, and replacement of existing taxiway storm drainage manholes.
The stated purpose of the proposal is to maintain the existing taxiway in a state of good repair and to accommodate the larger turning radii required for large aircraft, such as the Airbus A380 and Boeing 747-800, which the airlines will be using at the airport.
Any interested parties and/or agencies desiring to express their views concerning the above proposed activities may do so by filing their comments, in writing, no later than 4:30 p.m., 15 days from the date of publication of this notice, or, February 26, 2009.
