PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
Proposed action:
The commission is considering whether to grant or deny, in whole or in part, the May 7, 2008 Public Utility Law project (PULP) petition for rehearing and clarification of the commission's April 25, 2008 order denying petition of Public Utility Law project.

Petition requesting rehearing and clarification of the commission's April 25, 2008 order denying petition of Public Utility Law project.
Purpose:
To consider whether to grant or deny, in whole or in part, the May 7, 2008 Public Utility Law project (PULP) petition for rehearing and clarification of the commission's April 25, 2008 order denying petition of Public Utility Law project.
Substance of proposed rule:
The Public Service Commission (the Commission) is considering whether to grant or deny, in whole or in part, the May 7, 2008 Public Utility Law Project (PULP) Petition for Rehearing and Clarification of the Commission's April 25, 2008 Order Denying Petition of Public Utility Law Project. The Commission's April 25 Order denied PULP's prior petition for further investigation into assignment, use, or reassignment of NXX codes as unwarranted and without basis for delaying the proceeding to develop a workable plan to provide additional central office and area codes beyond the projected 315 area code exhaust date of 2010.
