PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following action:
Action taken:
The commission, on March 19, 2008, denied the petition of Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation (Central Hudson) for authority to defer certain gas expenses incurred in the rate year ended June 30, 2007.
Statutory authority:
Public Service Law, section 66(9)
Subject:
Uniform system of accounts—denying the request for accounting authorization.
Purpose:
To deny the request of Central Hudson for deferred accounting treatment for certain expenses beyond the end of the year in which such expenses were incurred.
Substance of final rule:
The Commission denied the petition of Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation for authority to defer accounting treatment of certain gas expenses incurred in the rate year ended June 30, 2007.
