National Criminal History Record Checks through the FBI
PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following action:
Action taken:
Amendment of Parts 421 and 443 of Title 18 NYCRR.
Statutory authority:
Social Services Law, sections 20(3)(d) and 378-a(2); and L. 2006, ch. 668, sec. 3
Subject:
National criminal history record checks through the FBI.
Purpose:
To require a national criminal history record check through the FBI of all persons applying for certification or approval as foster or adoptive parents and all other persons over the age 18 who reside in the homes of such applicants.
