PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following action:
Action taken:
Amendment of Part 58 of Title 15 NYCRR.
Statutory authority:
Vehicle and Traffic Law, sections 215(a) and 375.10(p)
Subject:
Rear object detection systems.
Purpose:
To require all garbage trucks operated in Westchester County purchased on or after Jan. 1, 2008 to be equipped with mirrors or other rear detection devices as mandated by chapter 686 of the Laws of 2006.
