Notice of Abandoned Property Received by the State Comptroller
Pursuant to provisions of the Abandoned Property Law and related laws, the Office of the State Comptroller receives unclaimed monies and other property deemed abandoned. A list of the names and last known addresses of the entitled owners of this abandoned property is maintained by the office in accordance with Section 1401 of the Abandoned Property Law. Office for the Aging
As required by the Federal Older Americans Act (OAA) of 1965, as amended, the New York State Office for the Aging (NYSOFA) hereby gives notice of the following:
NYSOFA is reviewing two Intrastate Funding Formulas (IFFs) utilized to allocate Federal Title III funds allotted to New York State (NYS). Annually the IFFs are used to allocate approximately $77 million provided under Title III of the OAA. Title III funds are allocated through use of the IFFs to fifty-nine (59) Area Agencies on Aging, which have been designated to receive Title III funding to support services for the elderly in their areas. The two formulas allocate funding under: 1) Title III subparts B, C1, C2 & D; and, 2) Title III subpart E. The two IFFs do not deviate from the formulas currently utilized to allocate funding received under Title III. Continued utilization of these IFFs will be effective with the Federal Fiscal Year 2008 Title III allotment to NYS.
