PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
Proposed action:
The Public Service Commission is considering a petition filed by the City of Jamestown Board of Public Utilities seeking permission to defer expenses related to a gas turbine major maintenance overhaul. The commission may accept, reject, or modify, in whole or in part, the relief requested.
Statutory authority:
Public Service Law, sections 5(1)(b), 65(1) and 66(1), (5), (9) and (12)
Subject:
Uniform system of accounts—request for accounting authorization to defer expenses.
Purpose:
To allow the City of Jamestown Board of Public Utilities to defer expenses beyond the end of the current fiscal year.
Substance of proposed rule:
The Commission is considering a petition by the City of Jamestown Board of Public Utilities seeking permission to defer expenses related to a gas turbine major maintenance overhaul. The Commission may consider the accounting treatment of these expenses, and prescribe a methodology to recover these expenses from customers. The Commission may accept, reject, or modify, in whole or in part, the relief requested.
