PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following action:
Action taken:
Addition of Part 46 (Regulation 174) to Title 11 NYCRR.
Statutory authority:
Insurance Law, sections 201, 301, 1113, 3201, and 4525
Subject:
Unemployment lapse protection benefit for life insurance.
Purpose:
To establish minimum standards for benefit levels, benefits eligibility and exclusions and establishing premium levels that meet the statutory requirement that the premium charged shall be reasonable in relation to the benefit provided.
