Waiver of Incremental Metering Costs Associated with Voluntary Time of Use (VTOU) Rates
PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
Proposed Action:
The Public Service Commission is considering a petition filed by Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation d/b/a National Grid (National Grid or Company) for a limited waiver of incremental metering costs.
Statutory authority:
Public Service Law, sections 65 and 66
Subject:
Waiver of incremental metering costs associated with Voluntary Time of Use (VTOU) rates.
Purpose:
To waive the incremental $3.36 per month customer charge for certain VTOU rate customers.
Substance of proposed rule:
The Public Service Commission is considering a proposal by Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation d/b/a National Grid (National Grid or Company) to waive the $3.36 monthly incremental metering charge for Service Classification 1 – Residential customers taking service under the Voluntary Time of Use rate option located within the area of the Company’s Clifton Park Demand Reduction REV Demonstration Project.
