COMMENT
RCW 9A.44.148, effective July 24, 2015, codified the triggering dates for the various registration requirements. They previously had been set forth in various subsections of RCW 9A.44.130. Laws of 2015, Chapter 261, § 4 (effective July 24, 2015). The statute also now imposes a lifetime registration requirement on sex offenders who move to Washington from another state, tribe, or a foreign country. RCW 9A.44.148(1)(h).
