WPIC CHAPTER 39. Kidnapping, Unlawful Imprisonment and Custodial Interference
WPIC 39.01 Kidnapping—First Degree—Definition
A person commits the crime of kidnapping in the first degree when he or she intentionally abducts another person with intent [to hold the person [for ransom or reward] [or] [as a shield or hostage]] [or] [to facilitate the commission of (name of felony) or flight thereafter] [or] [to inflict bodily injury on the person] [or] [to inflict extreme mental distress on that person or on a third person] [or] [to interfere with the performance of any governmental function].
