WPIC 4.64 Evidence of Prior Conviction—Impeachment
I am allowing this evidence, but you may consider [the evidence] [the answer(s)] only in deciding what weight or credibility to give to the testimony of the witness. You may not consider the answer for any other purpose.
NOTE ON USE
This oral instruction should be given during trial on request of either counsel, at the time the question is asked. This instruction should not be used if the prior conviction is admitted for purposes other than impeachment.
