§ 2207. Board
(b) Members.--The board shall consist of the Secretary of Agriculture who shall serve as the chair the Dean of the Dickinson School of Law and the Dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University who shall serve as the executive committee of the board. The board shall also consist of the chairman and the minority chairman of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee of the Senate or their designees and the chairman and the minority chairman of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives or their designees; two members of the Board of Trustees of The Pennsylvania State University who serve by virtue of election; and the vice president who serves as director for cooperative extension at The Pennsylvania State University. In addition, the board shall include the following members who shall be appointed by the Secretary of Agriculture:
(3) The board is authorized to solicit and accept on behalf of the center contributions, including money, tangible and intangible property, endowments and other items of value, from governmental entities, businesses, individuals and charitable and academic institutions. The board is further authorized to seek and solicit independent research funding.
