§ 1721. Failure of sheriff or jailer to execute writ of fiscal officer
Any sheriff refusing or neglecting to execute the writs of the Auditor General, the State Treasurer, or the Secretary of Revenue, issued in pursuance of section 1602 of this act,1 shall forfeit and pay to the Commonwealth the sum of five hundred dollars, and if any jailer refuses to receive and hold any person who may be ordered to jail under the writs of the Auditor General, the State Treasurer, or the Secretary of Revenue, issued in pursuance of section 1602 of this act,1 such jailer shall forfeit and pay to the Commonwealth the sum of three hundred dollars.
