§ 51. Pilot's oath to perform duty faithfully
Every person exercising the profession of a pilot in the bay or river Delaware, under a license duly granted, or1 may be hereafter granted by said board of wardens of the port of Philadelphia,2 shall, immediately after the passage of this act, take and subscribe an oath or affirmation, before the master warden of said port, who is hereby authorized and empowered to administer the same, that he will support the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution and laws of Pennsylvania, and well and faithfully perform his duty as a pilot.
