The authority may pursue its purposes and exercise its powers and authority under this act to locate port facilities and port-related projects within the port zone, notwithstanding any zoning ordinance or regulation adopted or enacted by a political subdivision under the authority of any statute, or under the authority of any home rule charter authorized and adopted under any statute or the Constitution of Pennsylvania.
