No liability on the part of and no cause of action of any nature shall arise against any lessor supplier, its officers, agents or employees furnishing information as to reasons for termination, cancellation, intent not to renew, failure to renew, unacceptability of a proposed transferee, or relating to the character, financial ability or business experience of a proposed transferee, or for statements made or evidence submitted at any hearing or trial conducted in connection therewith.
