§ 6503. Definitions
As used in this act:
(3) “Blood bank” means any place, organization, institution or establishment that it operated wholly or in part for the purpose of obtaining, storing, processing, preparing for transfusing, or selling human blood or parts or fractions of single blood units or products derived from single blood units, whether such procedures are done for direct therapeutic use or for storage for future use of such products, and whether a place, organization, institution, or establishment is operated on a charitable, commercial, or nonprofit basis.
