§ 9757. Duty of recorder of deeds; indexing
The recorders of deeds in and for the different counties of this Commonwealth shall cause such certificate or certificates to be transcribed into the books in his office wherein deeds are transcribed, and shall cause the same to be indexed in the indexes for deeds in and for his office; indexing the name of the bankrupt as a grantor's name is indexed, and the name of the trustee or receiver, where such official has been appointed, as the name of the grantee is indexed; but where no receiver or trustee has been appointed, the said certificate shall be indexed only in the “direct index,” in the name of the bankrupt, and stating the fact of the bankruptcy in the space where the name of the grantee should be placed.
