§ 744-910. Transfers from general fund to state stores fund; limit
Whenever the Governor shall ascertain that the cash balances in the General Fund and the current estimated receipts shall be more than sufficient to meet the expenses of government currently payable from the General Fund, the State Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to transfer such sums from the General Fund to the State Stores Fund as the Governor, by requisition upon the Auditor General, and the Auditor General, by his warrant, shall direct. Any sums so transferred shall be available for the purposes for which the State Stores Fund is appropriated by law. Sums transferred hereunder from the General Fund shall not at any time exceed, in the aggregate, the sum equivalent to twelve per cent (12%) of the gross sales in dollars by Pennsylvania State Liquor Stores in the preceding fiscal year.
