§ 744-907. Appropriation from The State Stores Fund
As much of the moneys, from time to time, in The State Stores Fund as may be necessary are hereby appropriated to the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board for the proper conduct of its work in establishing, maintaining, and operating Pennsylvania Liquor Stores, warehousing and testing liquor, issuing liquor licenses to hotels, restaurants, clubs, and public service companies, and otherwise administering and enforcing the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Act,1 as follows:
(a) For the payment of the salaries, wages or other compensation, and traveling and other necessary expenses, of the members of the board, and such superintendents, managers, assistant superintendents, assistant chiefs, assistant engineers, draftsmen, accountants, secretaries, auditors, inspectors, examiners, statisticians, clerks, stenographers, bookkeepers, messengers, laborers, and other assistants and employes, as may be required in the performance of the duties above mentioned, and such special deputy attorneys general, assistant deputy attorneys general, and attorneys, as may be assigned by the Attorney General to the board or for handling any legal business pertaining to its work.
(b) For the purchase, maintenance, and repair of furniture, furnishings, stationery, supplies, materials, equipment, fuel, and printing and binding, and for the payment of the premiums on policies of insurance covering motor vehicles operated by employes of the board, and surety bonds for officers and employes of the board required to furnish such bonds, but all such purchases and all such contracts of insurance and surety bonds shall be placed through the Department of Property and Supplies2 as purchasing agent.
(c) For the purchase of automobiles and other automotive equipment through the Department of Property and Supplies, the maintenance and operation of automobiles, and for the payment of mileage charges to the Department of Property and Supplies for the use of automobiles.
(d) For the purchase of liquors to be sold in or through Pennsylvania Liquor Stores.
(e) For the payment of postage, telegrams, telephone rentals and toll charges, and rentals for or royalties upon leased office equipment, or other devices or machines.
(f) For the payment of rentals for buildings or other accommodations leased by the board, through the Department of Property and Supplies, for use by, or in connection with, Pennsylvania Liquor Stores, or for the storage or testing of liquors purchased by the board.

(g) For the payment of premiums upon policies insuring the Commonwealth against workmen's compensation liability to employes, or dependents of employes, of the board and for the payment of premiums upon such policies of insurance as may be obtainable to protect (1) the interest of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board in the premises and contents of its stores and the personal property of the manager, other store employes and any other Liquor Control Board employe on official business against loss caused by robbery, holdup or attempt thereat, and (2) the manager, other store employes and any other Liquor Control Board employe on official business against bodily injury or death thus caused.

(g) For the payment of premiums upon policies insuring the Commonwealth against workmen's compensation liability to employes, or dependents of employes, of the board, and for the payment of premiums upon such policies of public liability insurance as may be obtainable to protect the enforcement officers of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board while engaged in the performance of their duties.
(h) For all other expenses of every kind and description necessary for the performance by the board of the aforesaid work.
(i) For the payment to the Department of the Auditor General of the costs incurred by that department in auditing requisitions drawn on The State Stores Fund, and in auditing annually, periodically, or specially the affairs of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board at such amounts, as the Department of the Auditor General with the approval of the Executive Board shall determine; for the payment to the Treasury Department of the cost of making disbursements out of The State Stores Fund on behalf of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board in the performance of the duties of the board, at such amounts as the Treasury Department with the approval of the Executive Board shall determine; for the payment to the Department of Property and Supplies for space occupied in the Capitol Buildings and for water, light, heat, power, telephone, and other services utilized and consumed by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board for the performance of its duties, at such amounts as the Department of Property and Supplies with the approval of the Executive Board shall determine.
(j) For the payment of claims for refunds made to, and approved by, the board for moneys paid into The State Stores Fund, to which the Commonwealth is not rightfully entitled.
