§ 2811. Superintendent of Public Instruction designated as educational authority to apply for Federal grants
Whenever legislation by the Federal Government shall require designation for the purposes hereinafter mentioned of a State educational authority to apply to, and receive from, the Federal Government or any agency thereof, any Federal grants, appropriations, or allocations, the Superintendent of Public Instruction1 is hereby so designated and authorized to apply for any such grants, appropriations, or allocations, on behalf of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, for any or all of the following:
(1) Any classification or division of public education and related programs, including early childhood, elementary, secondary, general, vocational, technical, adult, or extension education, and libraries, which is or will be administered by, or under the jurisdiction or authority of, the Superintendent of Public Instruction;
(5) The administration of the office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction in connection with such grants, appropriations, or allocations, which may now or hereafter be available or apportioned to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or any local public school jurisdiction or other State public education agency therein;
